Geocache Description:

What: No meeting, no greeting, just a 15 minute leap year event where we will begin a travel bug race
Where: Ida Lee Park - Billy Cox Pavilion
Why: Because it is fun to pretend to ignore each other, Leap Year is cool and TB Races are awesome
Who: Geocachers
When: 6:42 AM to 6:57 AM
And: Bring a coffee mug, I will have free Starbucks

Start your Leap Year geocaching day here! This will be a very quick event. No meeting and greeting, just show up, sign up for the TB Race or just give a nod and be on your way. Lingering is not encouraged.

If you are not interested in signing up for the TB race, you may still attend this event. All you have to do is find me with the sign in sheet at the Billy Cox Pavilion or event coordinates at the designated time, give me a nod and sign the log.

For those interested in the TB Race, here is the lowdown:
-Enter 3 trackables of any type as long as they are new trackables (no miles) and are trackable on geocaching.com
-The race starts immediately after you log your trackables on the sign up sheet for at this event
-The race ends at 11:59:59 PM February 28, 2013
-This is a points race, well it's more of a competition than a race. He/She/Yall who get the most points between 2/29/2012 and 2/28/2013 wins.
-Winner gets one of the few remaining B-Sharps 678 Geocoins (TB4FTR9)and a B-Sharps custom painted ammo can (see background picture for both)
-Second places gets a metaphorical pat on the back
-Results will be tracked on the B-Sharps Geocoin page http://coord.info/TB4FTR9 that will eventually be awarded to the winner. Details will be provided at the event
-You may place your travelers in any geocache, any day/time after this event, but the longer you wait, the less points it is likely to get.
-You may NOT move one of your own travelers once you have placed it in a geocache
-You may NOT move any competitor's travelers
-If all 3 of your travelers go missing you are disqualified, you may not re-enter with copy tags
-You may use a TB Rescue service if your TB has been in the same cache for 45 days (request to be placed on the 46th day)

Scoring:
+678 points for each cache that each of your travelers is PLACED in
+789 points for crossing a state line (valid only once per border and no credit for international borders)
+123 points for each DISCOVERY
+2,002.76 points for circumnavigating the globe (with a 500 mile tolerance from the traveler's start point)
-66.6 points for using a TB Rescue
+.4733432 points per mile traveled
*3.14159265 for each cache VISITED (that's a multiply symbol)
-50 points for attending a Mega Event
+420 points for attending a CITO Event

So, what you need to do if you plan to enter this TB Race is:
1) Acquire 3 trackables and attach/decorate them to your liking, and activate them with any mission/goal description that you want
2) Bring the details of each trackable to this event: trackable name and reference code (the public one not the tracking number)
3) Then place your 3 trackables in any geocache you want
4) Add the B-Sharps 678 Geocoin (geocoin info provided at event) to your watchlist for future race details and updates
