When:
You can arrive as early as July 20 (Friday). And you can stay thru Sunday. The work part of this Event will take place on Saturday, and will be for the entire day (with lunch break of course). Plan on some hot and dirty work. Dress appropriately, and bring lots of water, some food and Clothes you can get dirty. You will be at 7000-8000ft it can get cool at night and warm in the day.

What: Stooping, bending and picking up stuff will be involved, but there is usually ample opportunity for breaks to hydrate or answer the call of nature.

Bear
Facts:
Yosemite has a bear problem. No doubt about it. All campsites in Yosemite are equipped with large metal boxes for food storage. You will be warned at the entrance station that ALL food must go in these boxes. Bears can make pretty easy work of just about every model of car. Don't take any chances; use the boxes.
Equipment:
The Park Service will provide all the tools necessary for the project. You'll be responsible for getting yourself to the worksite, all your camping necessities, and food. Showers are available at White Wolf Campground down the road a bit and run a buck or two (includes a towel and bar of soap). This camp it a primitive camp meaning it has no water but the creek is close.

Although not visible in this shot, the campsites at Yosemite Creek Campground are very close to the water's edge. Lot's of deep pools for decent fishing. They aren't large, but they bite readily.

Located on the Tioga Road (CA-120), about one hour (35 mi / 22 km) north of Yosemite Valley, at 7,700 ft (2,300 m). Yosemite Creek Campground contains 75 campsites with tent and RV space (five-mile access road not suitable for RVs over 24 ft or trailers).

Each campsite contains a fire ring, picnic table, and food storage locker [33"(D)x45"(W)x18"(H)], and is near a vault toilet. No potable water is available: stream water must be treated (by boiling, using a filter, or using iodine).
