Are You Strong Enough To Throw The Ring Into Mount Doom And End Your Quest?
Mount Doom is the volcano in Mordor where the One Ring was forged! Sauron choose the land of Mordor as his dwelling-place in the Second Age and Mount Doom was the reason for his choice. He used the fire from the heart of the volcano in his sorceries and his forging.
Mount Doom was far more than a natural volcano as Sauron seemed to have extended his own powers into it, and was able to control it’s fires. While he was away from Mordor it it seemed to have lain dormant and sprang back into life again when his powers began to grow.
With the destruction of the Ring, Mount Doom had a final massive eruption, sending massive lava flows down all sides and scattered the area with volcanic debris. Flying lava debris went flying into the Nazgûl and their fell beasts destroying both riders and their mounts.
