Located at Forbes Holes, a nature reserve in Long Eaton with its own car park.
Forbes Hole is one of a series of borrow pits dug in 1839 during the construction of the railway network. The gravel extracted was used as ballast in the building of the railway embankments. In 1991 the Borough acquired the site from British Rail, when it came under the threat of development, with plans to keep it as a Local Nature Reserve.
The Harry Potter themed cache is in an area where Crack Willow trees have recently had to be cut down as they were encroaching on the footpath and attacking people (just like the Whomping Willow in the Harry Potter world of magic). The Harry Potter themed cache container holds a log sheet only and used to belong to Professor Mcgonagall.
Carry on round Forbes Hole to seek out the cache The Forbidden Forest Oak (GC3C8Z0)
