Dartmoor Dave: Judy and I took the 2 dogs on a walk down to this one today to see if it was still there. It was a unbelievably hot day in the sun and I ended up carrying my coat and hat! I knew exactly where this should be, although I have had no need to check it for many years. The cache wasn't where it should have been and a search around the tree revealed no cache either. It has either fallen out of its hole or maybe moved by a squirrel or similar and probably washed down the stream.
This was one of the first caches I ever placed as I needed a cache in the grid square for my Dartmoor challenge caches. I think it was a rushed job as even in those days I almost never placed micros. Now there are many caches in the area so this one is no longer needed for the challenge cache. I have therefore decided to archive it. Many thanks to all who have found it.
