Bye Bye Winter
Come out and join us as we say so long to the cold months of winter and welcome the freshness and warmth of spring. As part of our 3rd Annual Bye Bye Winter Weekend, the BBW Bash will be held on April 28th, 2012 in Fredericton at the lodge at Killarney Lake from 5:00 - 8:00 pm.
It will be a potluck supper and BBQ so get out your pots and pans and dust off your favorite recipes. While you're at it, make a copy of those recipes and bring them with you so we can share!
Along with a great, fun meal and the camaraderie of a wonderful group of cachers we will be announcing the results of the 2011-2012 Come Out & Play Contest and presenting the prizes to the winners.
The geocoin Coopsquared has had made for the 2011-2012 Winter Challenge should also be available for distribution or sale. We will also have a Coin and TB table for trading and discovering and we'll be having another 50/50 draw to help offset the lodge rental.
We’re expecting over 100 people and realize one person can’t make a dish that will feed everyone so make yours to feed 8-10 (more if you choose) and identify it in your “will attend” log. If you see that someone else has made the same dish you had planned to make don’t worry, we can use 5 different potato salads or lasagnas! If you choose to supply some hotdogs or hamburgers we would ask that you bring fewer but supply the rolls/buns as well so we don't end up "bunless" or note it in your log so someone else can bring the buns!
We will have extension cords for crockpots or slowcookers and the use of a microwave oven and BBQ. For those who don't cook or bake there are many other options. Chips, snacks, drinks (water, pop, juice, etc.), vegetable or fruit trays, cheese or cold cut trays would all be welcome. We will be providing all the utensils, plates, cups, etc.
Please post in your "will attend" log the number of people attending and what you are bringing. If you have any questions at all or would like some suggestions on what is still needed in terms of food, please contact us through our profile.
