Geocache Description:

This is cache #01 on a circular trail to the west of Hullavington of approximately 7 miles.

The route was planned using an OS map and follows public footpaths. You will have to cross several stiles, at least one road and walk a small portion of road near the end.
Some portions of the route may not be that obvious, so please make yourself familiar with the route before setting off.

The terrain difficulty for the series has been set at 2.5 reflecting the length and average terrain for the entire series. Individual caches - especially those near the start and end of the series - will have a different rating. There are a few elevated sections, especially from #11 to #12, but nothing too strenuous.

Some parts of the trail may be muddy after rainfall. Dogs and small children may require a helping hand with a couple of stiles. The route is unsuitable for wheelchairs and buggies.

The cache containers are all a reasonable size - either clip 'n lock or small screw top plastic bottle size. Please take a pen or pencil with you.

I have placed the caches in the most obvious locations where possible, so most experienced cachers should in general not require the hint. In case you are unable to find it, the 'hint' field does not contain a hint, but a description of the actual location.

I hope this will as a result make it a great beginners trail as well as a nice series for kids - albeit perhaps somewhat long.

None of the caches are hidden in or on any of the stone structures or walls you may come across. If you encounter a full log book and happen to carry a spare, I'd be most grateful if you could replace it and mention it in the on-line log.

** Please take an extra few seconds when putting the cache back to make sure it's locked well and well hidden / covered. In summer, they may well be shielded from view due to nearby growth, but in winter, some will be in full view if not fully covered. **

There are various roadside parking opportunities in Hullavington, particularly near the church.

Please note the trailhead waypoint marking the start of the series.
