RED RING by TEAMKWEST

You are a treasure hunter. Hunting treasure has been in your family for generations and you have just found some information which may lead you to your long awaited hoard! According to legend, a shipwreck had been discovered several decades ago, long after it had run aground in Weymouth Bay. The Captain of the damaged pirate ship had been attempting to evade capture and to seek shelter from high seas and heavy storms. It is believed that after the storm had wrecked the ship, the Captain and many of the ship's crew initially evaded capture and managed to hide their precious booty some way inland before being captured. However, the treasure has never been found.

Although most of the shipwreck has now disintegrated, what remains can be found on the sea bed just off the pier at the entrance to Weymouth Harbour (see Waypoint REF1). New information that has been uncovered suggests that the shipwreck lies IdeaThinkingexactly halfway between the Portland Harbour East Ship Channel Light (see Waypoint REF2) and the hidden treasure.
