O Parque Vila Germânica foi construído em 1985, atualmente o parque conta com um centro comercial que vende produtos típicos da cidade, além de lanchonetes e restaurantes que oferecem pratos típicos locais. Comporta ainda um Centro de Eventos de 26.000m2 aonde se realizam diversos eventos, o maior sendo a Oktoberfest.
Inspirada na maior festa da cerveja do mundo, a Oktoberfest de Munique, a primeira edição da Oktoberfest de Blumenau foi realizada em 1984 após as grandes enchentes de 1983 como forma de animar a população local e ajudar na reconstrução da cidade. Hoje é consagrada como a segunda maior festa alemã do mundo contando com público médio de 700.000 pessoas anualmente.

The German Village Park was built in 1985, currently the park consists of a commercial center where local products are sold and restaurants that sell typical Germanic dishes. The park also contains a 26.000m2 event center where many events are held, the biggest being the Oktoberfest.
