Shortly after joining the geocaching community I created a Facebook group. The intention was to create a private room in which I could talk to other ‘cachers’ without the interruption of non-caching ’muggles’. Help, advice, heads up on new caches and all round general geo-chat were all on menu.
I kept the group open for anyone to join upon request, the only requirements were a passion for the sport and a good sense of humour.
The numbers grew steadily as word got round I called the group West Mids Geocaching and it’s membership is a geocaching who’s who in the region. The group has been responsible for creative caches, brilliant banter and fantastic friendships, a great new element to an already brilliant pastime.
Our numbers have now reached in excess of 250 and I think it’s time to celebrate.

Join us at the Robin Hood pub between 2 and 4pm on March 11th for a drink, a chat and possibly a new smilie or two nearby! Don’t forget to sign the guest list and log your visit.
This meet is open to all, not just existing members of West Mids Geocaching. If you aren’t a member already you are clearly missing out. Look for us on Facebook and invite yourself in or come join us at the meet.
See you all there!
