Geocache Description:

An old historic and abandoned one room schoolhouse near Saint Onge, SD

The building used to be called "Asbury School", but the details of this place are less than sparse. It is an old one-room school building, that was used both as a school and a temporary meeting place for the congregation of the soon to be built Little Dane Church right up the road. It now sits eerily empty, teacher and students long gone. All that's left are the ghosts of the past.

The cache is not located in the structure or on the adjoining property, and is sufficient legal distance (over 150') from the railroad tracks. You will be looking for a small, magnetic bison tube sized container that can be accessed on the road itself. Bring your own writing stick as there isn't one in the cache. You may need a TOTT to extract the log from the cache. Please return the cache exactly as found, making sure it remains well-hidden.

As with all of our caches, enjoy the area, be safe and have fun.
