Geocache Description:

CITO hosted in partnership with the Grand River Conservation Authority
Laurel Creek CA - Sunday April 22th, 1:00pm
Waterloo, Ontario

What better way to give back than planting trees and helping to preserve the natural beauty of our outdoor resources? Please join us for a few hours and build a legacy that will last for years to come. Listed coordinates are for the entrance to Laurel Creek CA, this is the designated entrance. Please take note of the parking coordinates in the waypoint below. Once parked look for the usual RED mobile command center. GRCA foresters will be on hand to assist with proper planting technique. We will be planting approx 500 5-6 foot high hardwood saplings. This will require slightly more work than our past tree planting events. You will need to bring a shovel. Children are welcome with adult supervision.

** Please meet at 1:00pm SHARP at the parking coordinates listed below for some announcements and introductions. The fine folks at Starbucks have graciously donated coffee to the event and Becker Bros has provided donuts and the use of the mobile command center. CITO will run rain or shine. Don't forget your shovels. **

What to bring:
Gloves
Shovel
Clothing appropriate for weather, planting will take place Rain or Shine
Water - we'll try to have enough water on hand for all the volunteers but bringing additional water is a good idea
Camera - remember to take pictures and upload them with your log.
