The venue for our February cache event is
The Mill House
Grange Road,
Netley,
Hampshire
SO31 5FF
The village of Netley (or as some locals call it, Netley Abbey), is situated on the south coast of Hampshire, to the east of Southampton.
The main attractions in the area are the ruins of a late medieval monastry, Netley Abbey and Royal Victoria Country Park which is the site of the old Royal Victoria Military Hospital. Both are very worthy of a visit if you have not been to the area before.
The Mill House pub can be found in Grange Road, on the right hand side, just after coming over the humped back railway bridge. They have a large car park, the entrance of which is just past the pub sign if you are coming from the M27 direction.
We will have use of the function room at the rear of the pub for the evening which also has its own bar.
The staff are looking forward to giving you a very warm welcome. They offer a good choice of meals and I have attached details of their menu to whet your appetites.
To help the pub cater for everyone, they have asked that people pre-order food where possible or add a note in your logs if you are intending to eat.
Hopefully, the large red ammo box will be available for swapping and discovering Geocoins and Travel Bugs.
If you have not been to an event cache before, would like to experience something different, and have the chance to meet other cachers and swap/discover trackables and your caching stories, then please come along.
