Geocache Description:

Looking for a small pelican box. Be careful when opening. Please re-hide as found.

The location of this Amphitheater was once one of the inland shipyards for the Confederate Navy. Two of the ironclads housed in the National Civil War Naval Museum a short distance from here were built in this location.

Today the Amphitheater is a favorite for weddings, outdoor music, etc. During the 1996 Olympics, Up With People performed daily during the 20-day festival.
