We take it for granted, but twice every day, without fail, the power of the moon pulls the oceans of the world to and fro. Such is the strength of the moon’s magnetic pull it has the ability to pull huge volumes of water creating often enormous tidal ranges. Near Cardiff in Wales on the Bristol channel I’ve seen 14 "meter" tides. Here on the Heathcote river this is generally the upper most point of any tidal impact. This point measures nearly 10 kilometres from the sea. The tidal range I've witnessed is from "barely perceptible" to 1/3rd of a "meter". The trout sure know about it (lotsa whitebait pushed upstream to feed on. Check the images and you'll find a very well conditioned, close to 7lb brown trout caught on the same day this cache was enabled, merely meters from the cache site.) Whitebaiters know about it. (gotta get the tide right to catch the whitebait) How many Geocachers will know about it?
Cache is a clear film canister and contains log and pencil only, no room for Tb’s or collectables.
