Geocache Description:

Another stump? Yep, and it's a beauty!
Right near the bank of May Creek in a lovely "parkland to be" location. I can hardly wait until there is a trail developed along the entire length of May Creek.

Newcastle Trails is doing their part, I have another hide planned as soon as the new trail near Coal Creek parkway is completed.

So you know I like stumps, right? And out of the way little natural places?
This is both. When I checked on my iphone, there was not another hide within half a mile, which is quite a lot in this area.

There are actually two very old logging remnants here. My guess is that these two ancient giants may have been felled well over a century ago. Think what this area would have been like back then!

Finding the hide should not be difficult. I recommend taking the faint "party trail" all the way to the lovely bank of May Creek, then turning left for 20 paces or so, then coming in from the back side.

One special requirement for the FTF prize: you MUST leave a golf pencil in the cache! I didn't have one with me. It will be worth it!
