V minulosti sa na poliach medzi Banovcami a castou Biskupice uskutocnil geotermalny vrt, ktory potvrdil existenciu bohateho zdroja termalnej vody. Voda ma teplotu 45°C a vyviera z hlbky 2020m. Je vyuzita tak v letnom ako aj v zimnom obdobi.
