Par Selu Velnozolu un Dreimanu majam vesta ari dažadas teikas.
„ Selu pagasta atrodasviena zemnieku maja, saukta par „Dreimanu” maju. Šini maja esot mitis velns. Agrak katram saimniekam esot bijis viens majas dievs, ko saukuši par „majas kundzinu”; tas bijis majas sargs un labvelis. Dreimanu saimnieks par majas dievinu sev turejis velnu. Tas palidzejis saimniekam krat mantu un sargat. Par to saimnieks velnu edinajis. Sakuma tas mitis ozola, kas atrodas majas robežas. Tur velnam katru dienu kartigi nests ediens. Edienu vai citas davanas nolikuši ari apkartnes laudies, lai ieguta velna labvelibu, jo velns bieži tos maldinajis un baidijis, ta ka nakti nav bijis iespejams tur garam iet. Velak velns parcelies uz dzivi rija, pec tam tai paša maja. Velns saimniekam bijis ists paligs. Kad rudeni zagli gribejuši abolus zagt, velns tos visadis mocijis. Tikko šie uzkapj abele, netiek vairs zeme, zarus nejauda pakustinat, vai ari cita reize lavis sabert maisos, bet tad nesejs vairs nav ticis uz priekšu. Dažu reizi izceleis milzigs troksnis un šnakona. Velns zaglus spidzinajis tik ilgi, kamer pats saimnieks tos velejies atlaist. Apkartnes laudim gan vinš bijis par postu, jo tiem vinš kaitejis un tos biedejis. Bet tad vienu nakti maja izcelies ugunsgreks, velns dikti nobijies un skrejis projam. Vinš devies taisni pa lauku uz Anga ezera pusi, meties ezera un nozudis. Skrejot tikai atstajis 7 pedas akmeni ezera mala.” (P.Šmita „Latviešu pasakas un teikas”, Riga, 1936)

„In Selu parish is a farmers house, named as „Dreimanu” house. A devil used to live in this house. In the past, every landlord had a home god, which they named „master of the house”; he was a guardsmen and a well-wisher. The owner of the „Dreimanu” house kept a devil as his „master of the house”. He helped the farmer to save goods and guard. For this the farmer fed the devil. In the begining the devil lived in a oak, close to the house. Food was brought to him everyday. Other locals also used to bring food and presents, to reiceive grace from the devil, because the devil used to scare and mislead them, that it even wasn’t possible to walk past the oak. Eventually the devil moved into the drying-house and after into the house. The devil was a good help for the farmer. When in the autumn thiefs wanted to steal the apples, the devil tortured them. As soon as they climed the apple-tree, they couldn’t get down, couldn’t move the branches. In other times he allowed to put the apples in bags, but then they weren’t able to move. Sometimes loud noise and hissing arrised. The devil stopped torturing them only then, when the farmer asked him to stop. The devil was a big misery for the locals, he scared and hurt them. But then in one night a big fire started in the house, the devil was so scared that he ran away. He went straight across the field to the Anga lake un disappeared. He only left 7 footsteps in a stone next to the lake. ”
