The church of All Saints lies in one of the nicest church settings in the county with views across the Southampton Waters where cruise ships can be seen tied up at the docks. Parts of the church are 13th century and All Saints was the first local building to have been bombed in the Second World War. It was struck by incendiary bombs in the early hours of Thursday morning, 20th June, 1940, and completely wrecked by fire. It was rebuilt in 1955, and there is a commemoration stone over the doorway, which has inscribed upon it the words "A joyful resurrection". The north aisle of the old Church was completely demolished and the walls of the south aisle lowered to enclose a Garden of Remembrance.
There is ample parking at N 50°52.492 W 001°26.139. The multi starts at the footpath sign located at N 50°52.500 W 001°26.147. All answers can be found from the footpaths, no need to walk through the graves.
Stage 1: Enter the churchyard and look on your left as you go up the path. (A) Add the last two digits of the year of Pilot Officer Colborne’s death (19??).

Stage 3: Turn left at the top of the path. (C) 19?3 was the year that George Elkins sisters provided a tap for the churchyard.
Stage 4: Turn left at the tap, following the path to the bottom until it turns to the right and follow it round. (D) On the Commonwealth War Grave, Sergeant Colin Forrester died in 200? and add 1.
Stage 5: (E) Find the seat. How many words could not be used as a girls name?
Stage 6: At the end of the path, turn left and visit the sign by the road through the double gates, outside the churchyard. (F and G) There has been a church on this site since 1FG2?.
Stage 7: Return to the church. (H) Subtract 3 from the number of wooden planks on the seats in the porch.
Stage 8: (J) In the memorial garden to the right of the porch how many letters in Hazel and George's surname.
Stage 9: (K) The number of names on the Lych Gate memorial for the 1939-45 war subtracted from the number of names for the 1914-18 war.
Checksum: add all the answers together and this = 38.
