Geocache Description:

A short uphill walk after parking nearby. It can be muddy after prolonged rain but is generally dry underfoot. A location hint is available when the correct solution has been submitted through the Geochecker link below.

This is one of a series of puzzle caches created to celebrate the 2012 Olympic Games Sailing events to be held in Weymouth Bay.

IMPORTANT NOTE: THIS SERIES WILL BE ARCHIVED ON THE 30th SEPTEMBER 2013

We would like to thank the many cachers who have taken the time to attempt these caches,

The series consists of five rings of puzzle caches situated in Weymouth Bay and can be seen on the Geocaching.com map view.  Each ring is designated a separate colour (Black, Red, Yellow, Blue and Green) and has an associated bonus solved by collecting information from the caches within that ring.  Solving all five bonus puzzles will yield the coordinates of a final cache location (GC3BXN0 Sailing Rings - Race To The Podium), where Gold, Silver and Bronze medals await the first three successful geocachers.  Most of the puzzles are designed to be solved at home and results can be checked using the associated geocheck.com link.
There are over 60 puzzles to solve so it is not a quick task to get to the end, but remember that all Olympians only reach their peak with hard work!

The cache is within five miles of the above location so please don't get your feet wet!

Captain Pugwash has been to the pictures recently and doesn't think too much of The so-called Pirates of the Caribbean.  He would rather deal with them thar Pirates on Portland so he has hidden a black spot in the area for those perishing geocaching landlubbers.  However, he has only got part of his solution so he needs help to recover his black spot in case he puts a curse on the Olympic Sailing events.

The black spot can be found at N((A*B)+((C+D)*E))((F*B)+(G*E)+(B*H)).(C-F+H)(B+C-D)((A*E)-B-G); W(C+D-J-E)((C*D)-(E*A)-B).((C*E)-F-H)(((G+D)*G)-(E*C)))(H+G)

The creators of the series wish to thank our local reviewers and Groundspeak, who have been involved during its creation and given their permission for cache hides to be up to five miles distant from published coordinates.
