The Cache
The cache container is a small camoed tube. You will need your own pencil. There is no room for swaps or trackables. Please take care to replace the cache exactly as you find it. Do not attempt this as a cache & dash.
This cache is at the new entrance to the site, on Stowe Avenue between Buckingham and the Corinthian Arch.
Stowe
The new caches have been placed with the kind permission of the National Trust at Stowe. The National Trust took over stewardship of the site in 1989 and has been restoring it ever since. You can find out more about the National Trust's excellent work at the Stowe National Trust Website.
Ground Rules
Stowe is a National Trust property therefore there are limited opening hours. Please do not attempt to gain access when the site is closed. Details of opening times are published on the website.
The caches are all in the parkland and are therefore free to access.
The National Trust charges a small fee of around £2/day for parking at the New Inn (free for NT members if you have your sticker in the car). Parking is also available on the north side at the old entrance. This is currently free. A new car park is being developed at Home Farm on the north side, which will eventually replace the old car park up by the schoool. There is also a small car park at the entrance to Chackmore village which you could use for this one.
Please do not park anywhere on the site other than in the designated parking areas.
The total walking distance around all of my caches starting from the Visitor Centre at the New Inn is around 7.5 miles (12km). Please note there are no facilities in the parkland.
