Geocache Description:

a water cache!!

this cache is placed in the vicinity of the moat of the former conesby hall.
conesby hall was built by the d,arcy family after aquiring the land after the norman conquest of 1066/7.
The hall itself was demolished during the reign of Henry v11 in the early 16th century, and all that remains today is the former moat.
A very hard place to get to,and well out of the way you will need to follow instructions to get to the site, depending on when you visit.
during the day you can park on the industrial estate on moat road ,and follow the path on the right which leads off to the treelined hill.
the surrounding land has been reclaimed and is now a great place to walk,,,,,,check out the massive drill bits laying away to the west of the moat!
there are also some really good caches nearby to make a nice circular walk with great views over the trent..

UPDATE...................AFTER MY RECENT MAINTENENCE THIS CACHE IS NOW NO LONGER ATTAINABLE WITHOUT THE USE OF A BOAT AND / OR SCUBA EQUIPMENT.

FTF DAVID 1052 AND HMS BOBO FRETT AND CREW.
