Meet the New Staff Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

The WBs: I was considering re-deployment or transferring ownership on my caches, as circumstances are unfortunately preventing the maintenance I should be providing. Archiving is the best option, based on the tone of some DNF logs and dwindling interest in caches in the "unknown" category that are not challenge caches. Thanks for playing!

Geocache Description:

The container is a standard micro container with a couple of experimental touches to make it more user-friendly and (hopefully) elegant.

The listed coordinates are a spot on the Keystone Trail not too far away.
Congrats to Mr Ewok & da ewoks for FTF honors!

Sheet Music
Everything you need to solve the puzzle is contained in the sheet music. While some music theory is required, within that field only basic information is needed. Difficulty rating for a musician would be around 2.5 or 3, probably 5 for a non-musician. I’ll start with 4.5 but your feedback is appreciated. A bit of research may be all that’s needed for those who like puzzles, cryptograms and such things; others might have a 12-year-old niece taking piano lessons who may offer some suggestions.

A full-size .pdf music score is available for download / viewing here.
A midi performance of the score (just for fun, not required for solving) is here; this midi file should automatically play in media players such as Windows Media Player and some browsers. If you’d like to sing along with this pretentiously grandiose composition, an overwrought vocal performance along the lines of Elmer Fudd’s “Kill the Wabbit!” should do nicely.

Both the sheet music and music file, as well as several hints to get you started, are also available at the "Related Web Page" link at the top of this page.

The final coordinates are likely to be muggly, so please use as much discretion as possible.
Area is posted as open from 5 am - 11 pm; please respect these hours.
