We have Motorway Mayhem. We have A-Road Anarchy (cos there aren’t many Motorways in Wales!). But what about public transport users? SideTracked Caches are intended to provide quick Cache-and-dashes at Train Stations.
SideTracked started at Evesham station on August 10th 2007, placed by schnarff & bikermel76. It took a while to get started, but is now spreading across the country!
Middlewood station is one of Britian's more unusual stations as it has no road access, and is litterally located in the Middle of the woods.
However it is a great way for people to get into the countryside from the cities, and trains run hourly on Sundays, and every two hours the rest of the time.
This SideTracked cache is actually located in what was once Middlewood Higher Station, on what was once the Marple to Macclesfield line, now the Middlewood Way. If you look to the sides of the path you can see the concrete supports that held the platform as seen in the photo below
Middlewood Higher Station
The cache is a small magnetic nano container
