Come and enjoy a day of discoveries and activities!

Join us at Fortress of Louisbourg National Historic Site of Canada for the 2nd Annual Geocaching Event.

Two new geocaches will be launched to coincide with this event, alongside with the existing six geocaches - a whole new way to see the Fortress! Back in 1744, The Fortress of Louisbourg was one of the busiest harbours in North America and one of France's key centres of trade and military strength in the New World.

Geocachers will first check-in at the McLennan Centre (formerly known as the museum) on site. Once there you will receive the agenda & briefing at 10am, including the waypoints necessary as you will be exploring the Fortress. An Intro to Geocaching will be made available based on demand.

Sign-up sheet will be at the check-in site. Throughout the event geocachers can socialize and find shelter at the McLennan Centre where warm drinks (coffee, tea & hot chocolate) will be available.

DISCLAIMER

2. There are applicable entry-fees to access the Fortress for this event.

3. Event Sign-in & registration will begin promptly at 10am on the Fortress site for the event briefing. Once briefing is done, attendees will free to proceed exploring the Fortress. There will be a short event closing at 1:30pm.

4. Applicable entrance fees are payable upon arrival at the McLennan Centre: Adult: $7.30, Senior: $6.05, Youth: $3.65, Family/Group: $18.10 (Up to seven people with a maximum of two adults.)
