impaciente e nervosa, a formosa Aldonça.
tinham a cor do azeviche.
olhar e, numa prece fervorosa e breve, pede a Allah misericórdia e

LEGEND SOURCE MOURO - BEJA
The northeastern city of Beja, just over half an hour away on
foot, there is still a good source of vegetable garden where fresh
water runs night and day for a bank. It's called Font Moor and near
her is a vicinal way. It is said that the said garden was once a
wealthy Moorish name Albutassén that his wife Judith was a
beautiful and gentle daughter named Aldonza. Little God-fearing,
Abutassén was rich but very stingy and bad. However, his daughter
Aldonza, the antithesis of his father, was kind, and much despised
riches believer in Allah. In old wedding trends and affectionate,
she lived at home collected given to housework and other tasks of
its own as a young moira. Rare that Aldonza his father consented to
stay away from home to go to a party in some mosque or attend to
the sacred rites and devotions in honor of Allah. Throughout this
term ran a reputation for its excellent physical and moral
endowments, which attracted more attention and curiosity of the
young knights who had the good fortune to behold so exalted as
charming and beautiful moira. Given the affection of love, the
beautiful Aldonza voted particular attention to a young Christian
name Athanasius who, though poor and belief different from his,
had, however excellent skills and moral character that were the
envy of his companions, some noble and rich . Knowing the trends of
the loving daughter, Albutassén further the contrary, and often
suffer that she left the garden where he lived, sad and
counterfeit, delivered to their weeping feathers. One day the young
boy thought Athanasius kidnap the woman of his dreams and charms
most expensive, as would otherwise be impossible for him to possess
that which he loved. And on a clear night in August, when the moon
lay on the earth her mantle of light, the young knight, riding on
his fiery steed, goes to the garden where already waiting,
impatient and nervous, the lovely Aldonza. Her eyes were black
starry night, and her hair in waves like the sea, were the color of
the jet. Seeing her love and overflowing with joy, but nervous,
young moira kneels, turns the sky and the sweet look, and soon a
fervent prayer, asking Allah for mercy and forgiveness of his
escape plan. After a few seconds. Along with them came a young
Christian that snatched and, sitting in the saddle in front of you,
run fast in fiery steed. Allah, who knows the thoughts of men,
could not consent to the merger of two different beliefs. Not
favored, so the Christian adventure and love their young loved nor
will the happiness they so desired. Then, with his divine power,
that the Christian is made to change into a serpent, and she,
Aldonza, it becomes a source of clear water. Legend has it that
some people have seen, on moonlit nights the huge snake to go from
the drinking fountain in her longing for the long Aldonza. Another
version tells us that, with the "hill" that the snake got the name
- the Snake Hill, one day she was confronted with angry bull.
That's why - some say - that Beja is a bull weapons (symbolizing
strength, not agriculture, as others think, perhaps with more
reason to be).
