Pirates Trail 10.
This cache is part of the Pirates trail which links our other caches together all the way back to Pirates Trail 1 in the Ancient city of Kaunos at the South end of the lake Koycegiz.
GC3A7FR.
This series "The Pirates Trail" will be around 30 caches following the West shoreline of Lake Koycegiz. This lake is around 12.5kms in length and 4kms wide and at the time of hiding this cache there had been very heavy rainfall over a prolonged period which had raised the water level in the lake by 1 metre, an awful lot of water considering the size of the lake, parts of Koycegiz and tourist locations like the Sultaniye Mudbaths were flooded as a result, local elders say that it has been 45 years since they last saw anything like it, the cache page photos should give you some idea what the area looked like when we hid the caches.
Koycegiz.
Park the car then follow the path,
slip over the water and it'll be early bath,
next carry on up across the slope,
it's not steep so you'll easily cope,
Climb over the rock that's under the tree,
around the corner a fall to see,
stand awhile and take in the view,
then about turn because the cache is behind you.
