Ein einfacher Cache, der euch eine Säule zu Ehren des heiligen
Donatus in der Nähe von Velm zeigt.

Deutsch
Die 2008 renovierte Donatus-Säule steht an der Straße von Velm zu
den Schneidergrabenseen.
Die Inschrift lautet: "Gewidmet von Lorenz Hintermayer im Jahre
1878"
Der heilige Donatus
Oft wird er als römischer Soldat mit Palme, Blitze, Getreidegarbe
oder Weinstock dargestellt. Er gilt in den Regionen Eifel, Köln und
Niederösterreich als Angehöriger der Legio XII Fulminata und Patron
gegen Unwetter, Blitzschlag, Hagel und Feuersbrunst. Besonders
viele Schützenvereine führen ihn im Namen. (aus Wikipedia)
Der Cache
Eine 0,5l Plastikbox, ca. 12x9cm groß. Genug Platz für Travelbugs
und Geocoins und kleinere Gegenstände.
Nach dem Heben das Logbuch bitte wieder einpacken, den Cache gut
verschließen und wieder gut tarnen.
In der Nähe gibt es viele Wochenendhäuser und auch einen Reitstall.
Daher bitte, wenn ihr mit dem Auto kommt, langsam fahren und auf
Fußgänger, Radfahrer und auch Reiter achten!

Saint Donatus
Saint Donatus is a patron against lightning strikes. He is depicted
in art wearing Roman armor, and armed with a thunderbolt. He is

The Cache
A 0.5l plastic box, approx. 12x9 cm in size. Room enough for travel
bugs or geocoins and small items. After signing the log, please put
the log back in its bag and tightly close and hide the cache
again.
Nearby there are many weekend cottages and a riding stable.
Therefore, please drive slowly and pay attention to pedestrians,
cyclists and equestrians!
