Available during Summertime with an average hike of 3 hours (or 15 minuts taking the chair-lift Konig Laurin directly to the Kölner Hut) and during Wintertime for espert skiers.
Near Rifugio Fronza alle Coronelle - Kolner Hutte (altitude 2337 m.)
Estate: dalla stazione a monte della seggiovia Paolina (N 46° 24.450 E 011° 35.488) seguire il sentiero n° 539 e n° 549 (circa 3 ore). Non è un percorso difficile ed è adatto alla famiglie, ma discretamente lungo. Non sarà necessario "scalare", ma è importante avere il giusto equipaggiamento come delle scarpe adatte da trekking. Seguire il Percorso segnato in blu. Il Percorso giallo è più lungo e impegnativo. Se volete invece la via più semplice e veloce, prendete le Seggiovia Re Laurino (Konig Laurin a N 46° 26.645 E 011° 35.340) che vi porterà direttamente al rifugio in pochi minuti dal parcheggio
Summer: Take the Paolina Chair-Lift at (N 46° 24.450 E 011° 35.488). When up take the track n° 539 and n° 549 (about 3 h). You don't have to climb, but you should be quite good in mountain hiking, with the right shoes. Anyway it may be considered a Family Escursion. Follow the blue line. The yellow path is longer and more difficult. If otherwise you prefer the fastest way, just take the Konig Laurin chair-lift at N 46° 26.645 E 011° 35.340 and in few minuts you'll arrive directly to the Kölner Hut.

Il rifugio A. Fronza “ alle Coronelle” del CAI di Verona ampio e molto frequentato, si trova in posizione panoramica sul versante ovest del gruppo del Catinaccio, ai piedi del salto roccioso che forma il grande terrazzo detritico.
Il rifugio e’ punto di appoggio per vie ferrate passo Santner e Masare, vie in roccia sul Catinaccio e sulle Torri del Vajolet ed escursioni.
Il rifugio fu costruito nel 1899/90, inaugurato nell’anno 1900 dalla sezione di Colonia. Il nuovo gestore era Hans Villgrattner che lo terrà fino al 1927. Nel 1912 viene aggiunto il dormitorio. Nel 1920, dopo la prima guerra, lo Stato italiano espropriò il rifugio e lo cedette al CAI di Verona. Il corpo principale del rifugio viene distrutto da un incendio e rimane il dormitorio. Dal 1927 al 1945 la gestione passò al signor Francesco Jori, guida alpina. Subito dolo la seconda guerra mondiale fu gestito dal signor Checco Vian assieme alla sua famiglia. Nel 1966 un incendio distrugge la parte vecchia che viene ricostruita nel 1969 e la gestione passa alla figlia Maria con il marito Trottner Francesco. Dal 1982 la madre passa la gestione ai figli Vittorio e Pierpaolo che tuttora lo gestiscono assieme alle loro famiglie. Nel 1995 viene festeggiato il 50° di gestione Vian-Trottner.

Die Kölner Hütte vom Alpenverein „C.A.I. Verona“, geräumig und sehr besucht, mit einem wunderschönen Panoramablick, befindet sich auf dem Westhang der Rosengartengruppe.
Die Hütte ist Ausgangspunkt der Klettersteigen „Santner“ und „Majaré“, verschiedener Klettertouren (Rosengarten und Vaiolet Gebiet) und zahlreichen Ausflügen.
Die Hütte wurde in den Jahren 1898/99 gebaut und im Jahr 1900 von der Kölner Sektion eingeweiht. Der neue Pächter war Hans Villgrattner bis zum Jahr 1927, während im Jahr 1912 wurde der Schlafsaal hinzugefügt. Im Jahr 1920, nach dem ersten Weltkrieg, enteignete der italienische Staat die Hütte und gab sie dem „C.A.I. Verona“ ab. Der Hüttenhauptteil wurde von einem Brand zerstört während der Schlafsaal intakt blieb. Von 1927 bis 1945 ging die Bewirtschaftung dem Bergführer Jori Francesco über. Sofort nach dem zweiten Weltkrieg wurde die Hütte von Checco Vian zusammen mit seiner Familie bewirtschaftet. Im Jahr 1966 zerstörte ein Brand den alten Hüttenteil. Dieser Hüttenteil wurde im Jahr 1969 wieder aufgebaut und die Hüttenbewirtschaftung ging der Tochter Maria zusammen mit ihrem Mann Trottner Francesco über.
Seit 1982 sind die Söhne Vittorio und Pierpaolo Trottner (zusammen mit den Familien) die Pächter der Hütte und im Jahr 1995 wurde der fünfzigjährige Jahresbewirtschaftungtag von den Familien Vian-Trottner gefeiert.

The Kölner Hut of C.A.I. Verona, spacious and frequented by many visitors, is situated in a beautiful panoramic area on the west side of the Rosengarten mountain chain, at the foot of the rocky cliff, which forms the big detrital terrace. The Hut is a starting point of the ferrate “Santner” and “Majaré”, several rocks routes and many excursions.
The Hut was constructed in the years 1898/99 and in year 1900 was inaugurated from the Section of Verona. Hans Villgrattner was the new manager until 1927. In year 1912 the dormitory was added and in 1920, after First World War, the Italian State dispossessed the hut and conferred it to the C.A.I Verona. The main part of the hut was destroyed by a fire and remained the dormitory. From 1927 to 1945 the hut was run by the Alpine guide, Jori Francesco. Soon after the Second World War, the hut was run by Checco Vian together with his family. In 1966 a fire destroyed the old part of the hut, which was reconstructed in 1969. The management of the hut then went to the daughter Maria and her husband Francesco Trottner. In 1982 Maria’s children, Pierpaolo and Vittorio, along with their families took over the management of the hut and in 1995 the Vian-Trottner family celebrated the fiftieth anniversary of management of the hut.
