The Last Day of the Year! Event Cache

This cache has been archived.

hurleyanne: Well, it's a month later and I think everyone has logged. No more trackables logged into the event, so it was about time I archived it. I hope everyone's getting their cache on as spring seems to be here!

How Geocaching Works

Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Geocache Description:

Just a fun little gathering to celebrate our caching accomplishments, whatever that might mean to you! We'll be meeting up in the back room of Ricky's All Day Grill at 6 pm. Please log whether you plan to attend and how many will be in your party, because if the group become large enough I may have to book a banquet room.

February 29 comes but once every 4 years, which makes it a bit of a special day. For me in particular, this will mark the final day I need to fill in my caching calendar. I know this isn't important to all cachers, but I enjoy fulfilling challenges like this! So I wanted to make this a day to celebrate our geocaching accomplishments, which could be anything! It doesn't have to be anything so grand as filling your difficulty/terrain matrix (BTW, I totally recommend trying this - it's quite the adventure). Perhaps you finally found that cache that you DNFed about 5 times before, placed your first hide, or maybe you found your first cache outside of Saskatchewan. Come and share your story as we enjoy some good food and beverages.

Edit Jan. 19 - Groundspeak has announced that anyone who logs a cache or attends an event on Feb. 29 will receive a Leap Day souvenir!
