Naung Ninn Cave
This cache is placed in a cave, lost far from civilization.
Entrance to the cave
Some time ago, two monks lived in a hut near the entrance of this cave, but they are gone and only jungle surrounds the cave now. Inside and around the cave, you can still found some items which probably belonged to these monks or other past visitors. There are some stairs going around the cave ending in the jungle now. The atmosphere of the past can still be felt in the air. In the entrance, there is a stupa and inside the first part, sitting Budha is guarding its peace. If you want to go closer to main Budha statue, put your shoes off please as in any other temple.
Inside the cave
You can get here by your own probably from Kalaw or any other civilization near. In this case, provided waypoints may be useful. If you ask the locals, they should probably give you the right direction. There are plenty of paths inside the jungle and you surely do not want to follow the arrow here. Other option is to hire some local guide, some of which can be found in Kalaw, and ask them to have a trek to this place or pass near enough to get the cache. Be ware, that a lot of them are not real guides and don't know anything about the jungle. Some are just children able to walk from village to village on a path which they repeat each day. Reasonable price should be around 20USD/person/day (including food, water etc.). If you plan to visit this cache and cave, don't hesitate to contact me with further questions. You may want to visit another cache deeper in the jungle, that's not far from here. There is a local cache guardian to keep it in good condition.
