Western Watch
This cache is located at an abandoned fort or coast guard tower. A
panoramic view is available from the roof of the building.
Several stone ruins are scattered in the area between the building
and the beach. It is well worth taking the time to explore the
area.
The general area is isolated and is not a place to be tackled
without adequate preparation. This cache is several kilometers from
the nearest road. However, there are a lot of rough tracks in the
area. A four-wheel drive vehicle with adequate ground clearance is
recommended. It is also advisable to not venture into this area
alone (traveling with at least 2 vehicles is strongly recommended).
The normal precautions of carrying plenty of water and other
essential supplies (fuel, food, recovery gear, etc) obviously goes
without saying.
Several caches are located close by and are well worth visiting
while exploring the area.
