In an effort to build cacher awareness of the historic caches in Muskegon County, Michigan, this challenge has been issued.
The cache container for this challenge is located at the given coordinates. It is a small lock-and-lock container. To pursue this cache one can take the low flat route from Snug Harbor where the D1.5/T1.5 cache rating is derived from; this route is nearly 0.7 miles to the cache. The high route from the Blockhouse which would earn a higher terrain rating of 3 and the route is slightly longer at 0.8miles. I have provided trail heads and trail marker waypoints. Please respect the trail system and stay off labeled erosion control areas.
In order to claim credit for this challenge, you must first find and log five of the current seven oldest existing caches in Muskegon County(your choice of which five). If you are the cache owner of an item on the list, you may count it as a find for purposes of this challenge (so you do not have to make an actual find on your own cache).
Once the five caches have been found and logged, you may find and log this cache. You may either prove you have met the challenge by posting your finds to a public bookmark or you may list your finds in the body of your log on this cache. Either way, be sure to give the waypoint, cache name, and date found. Prior finds do count.
In the spirit of the older caches, this caches provide the seeker with a nice walk in the woods to a scenic destination.
