The cache is a micro container, placed at the Penny Heyns swimming pool. Stealth will be required as this is a busy spot in the summer and winter months. The cache is not on the premises of the swimming pool and can be accessed at all times.
The Penny Heyns swimming pool is an Olympic size, heated swimming pool and is the home of the Sasol National Winter Swimming Championships.
In the summer months the cool water is enjoyed by families in the warm Freestate days. The swimming pool is almost always buzzing with activity.
Penny Heyns is undeniably one of SA’s favourite daughters and possibly the greatest female breaststroke swimmer of all time. The Golden Girl is the winner of two Olympic gold medals at Atlanta in 1996. She was also a world-class ambassador outside of the pool, supporting both new South Africa and a lifestyle of discipline and humility led in accordance with Christian principles.
