Kdynska manufaktura Mystery Cache

Nejrozšírenejším remeslem bylo ve Kdyni odedávna platýnkárství, to je výroba mlýnských pytlíku.
Na konci 18. století pracovalo ve Kdyni v tomto oboru 24 mistru, 36 tovaryšu a 11 ucedníku.
V roce 1678 založili Lamingenové ve Kdyni textilní manufakturu, prokazatelne nejstarší v Cechách.
Roku 1769 prodali Stadionové manufakturu vídenskému obchodníkovi a bankéri Jakubu Matyáši Schmidtovi,
který ji rozšíril a zacal v ní vyrábet vlnené látky. Brzy poté pracovalo v manufakture už 200 lidí
a dalších 1.400 domácích tkalcu po kraji. V roce 1825 zamestnávala prádelna na 500 lidí a pres 6.400
domácích tkalcu. Roku 1853 je pokládána za nejvetší továrnu na Plzensku.

Rozvoj prádelny prinesl rust celé obci. V roce 1826 mela Kdyne 164 domu a 1428 obyvatel. V roce 1869 stálo ve meste už 224 domu s 1.998 obyvateli.
