go4buffs: Time to archive one of my beloved hides. We loved caching with our children, but as they grow up and as their lives get more complicated, we are also moving on to other hobbies...thankfully outdoor hobbies. Caching proved to be a great way to help our kids learn to love and respect the outdoors.

A simple one stage + final Multi that takes you to a wonderful, quiet knoll within Reichswald, best visited in fall, when the leaves are not only colorful, but also falling gently to the ground as you sit on the nearby bench, enjoying the sound of silence.

My beloved Reichswald, offering a wonderful playground for hikers, joggers, mountainbikers, kiddoes, and all lovers of nature. After all of these years enjoying its wonders, I still find new surprises.

I wanted to start this cache series to share my favorite parts of Reichswald - sometimes hidden, sometimes obvious - but always (hopefully) amazing.
The first stage of the cache - a virtual stage due to distance conflicts - takes you to a place that you see often on the signs located throughout Reichswald, but it took me many years to actually go there and to enjoy the beautifully silent knoll.
The first stage of the multi is in the protected forest area (Naturschutzgebiet), therefore while in the Naturschutzgebiet, it is not allowed to climb trees or leave the designated paths. The final is outside of the Naturschutzgebiet.
Teile des Caches befinden sich in ein Naturschutzgebiet und deswegen sollten die offiziellen Wege zu keiner Zeit verlassen werden. Der Final ist nicht im Naturschutzgebiet.
This cache is also a Christmas present to my wonderful wife, who introduced me to caching a year ago. Thank you! Merry Christmas!
