A cache at the windmills near Charasso village.
Charasso (Χαρασσό in Greek) is
a small, traditional village with 120 inhabitants. It was first
mentioned in records in the 16th century. The windmills are
situated on a small hill above the village.
To get there we suggest you park at the village and walk along the
cement road to the windmills, it is less than a kilometer long. You
can see the route from the village to the windmills here: charaso
at EveryTrail
The view from the windmills is great; you can see the Cretan Sea to
the north and the village of Smari and its Acropolis to the south.
Further at the background you can see the Lassithiotika
mountains.
The cache is a small plastic container with a logbook and a pen. It
can be combined with several other caches in the area.
