Eine verlorene Kirche - Die Jakobikirche zu Dresden

Diese Kirche, die nach Vorbildern der rheinischen Hochromantik erbaut worden war galt als wichtigster neoromanischer Kirchenbau in Dresden. Sie entstand zwischen 1898 und 1901 nach den Plänen des Architekten Jürgen Kröger, der auch als evangelischer Kirchenbaumeister bekannt war.
Die Kirche bestand aus einer dreischiffigen Basilika mit kurzem Querhaus. Sie hatte eine Grundfläche von 55m mal 31m und bot bis zu 1.300 Personen Platz. Das dominierende Bauelement war der 80m hohe achteckige Mittelturm.
Während der Luftangriffe der Alliierten wurde die Kirche beschädigt. Die Ruine, die noch gut erhalten war, wurde 1953 abgerissen.
Im Sommer 2011 hat die Stadt Dresden die Brache gestaltet, um an die Kirche zu erinnern.
Cache -Suche
Die Koordinaten führen Euch zu einem Relikt, es sind die noch erhaltenen Bronzebeschläge der Festtagstür der Kirche. Stellt Euch vor die Mitte des Tores und geht 23m in Richtung 47°.
Mit Muggeln ist jederzeit zu rechnen also seid auf der Hut.
This church was designed after the model of the Rhenish high romanticism and was considered as the most important Church in the Neo-Romanic style in Dresden. It was built between 1898 and 1901. The architect was Juergen Kroeger, who was also known as a Protestant church architect.
The church consisted of a three-aisle basilica and a short transept. The base was 55m by 31m and the most dominant part was the octagonal tower that was 80m tall. Inside the church there was space for about 1,300 people.
During the allied bombings the church was damaged. But although the ruins were in good condition it was knocked down in 1953. In summer 2011 the city council of Dresden designed the place to remember the church.

At the given cords you will find a relict. These are the preserved bronze fittings of the feast door of the church.
Now stand in front of the middle of the door and go 23 metres in 47°. Be stealthy.
