Geocache Description:

Ed's test cache... DO NOT PUBLISH!!!

Proximity Template

Hello! I am a Geocaching.com volunteer cache reviewer and I am looking at your recent cache submission.

Unfortunately there is a problem with the location. The coordinates for this cache are only 100 feet west of the final stage of a nearby Unknown cache.

Geocaches you place need to be at least 0.1 miles (528 feet) from other nearby caches. The Geocaching.com guidelines about proximity to other caches can be found here: http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=304#saturation

Fortunately, it often is not hard to move a cache a few hundred feet or more to get the two separated enough. Simply put the coordinates for the other cache in your GPS and then check to see that you are at least 0.1 miles away as the crow flies when you move the cache. Note that “actual travel distance” between two caches is not generally not taken into account.

I am temporarily disabling the cache page for now to remove it from the review queue. When you move the cache, simply update the coordinates and re-enable the cache page by making an "enable" log or by checking the box that says the cache is active on the Edit page. That will place it back in the queue for the reviewers to see. If more than 60 days have passed without a response, the cache page will be considered abandoned and may be archived at a future date without notice.

If you have questions feel free to email me. I know that cache placement issues can sometimes be frustrating and I thank you for understanding.

Thanks,
Edward Rooney
