Geocache Description:

I've seen several Milestone Challenge caches, but here is one with a difference!

This actually started as a personal challenge for me, before I even knew that Challenge caches existed.

Others will have you find the cache AS a milestone, others require you to have found x amount of a certain type of cache.

What I set out to do is find one of each of the currently (and easily) available types of cache for a milestone (11 at the current count; traditional, multi, puzzle, virtual, earth, wherigo, webcam, event, mega-event, letterbox, CITO event)

This cache IS listed at the above coordinates but to claim it you must meet this one simple requirement:

You must have found SIX (or more) different types of cache as a milestone.

i) This is a milestone as defined by the geocaching.com website (ie 1, 5, 10, 25, 50, 75, 100, 200 and so forth)

ii) they can be ANY of the types available, so can include GPS Adventures Exhibit, Project APE, Lost and Found events etc in addition to the above, + any others that may come online subsequent to the publishing of this cache

iii) Your milestone finds do not need to be chronological so your first two could have been traditional, then a puzzle, then another traditional etc before finding the rest. As long as you have found six across your entire career you're fine!

iv) You don't need to post in your log what you have done (although by all means feel free to do so!) as this information is freely available in your statistics page

v) If you're at 5 icons and haven't found a puzzle, you can count this cache as your 6th icon as you log it - but my personal preference would be that you ALREADY have 6 ;-)

I'm still working towards this myself, but having investigated the profiles of many of the prolific local cachers, 3 seemed to be about the average therefore I have raised the bar just slightly higher! Cachers just starting their career will find this easier than those with more experience - once you're past 1000 caches the milestones are fewer and further between!

If driving, there is a lay-by at N51 02.340 W000 20.771 you can make use of. From here head South-West for the entrance to the footpath - you do not need to go down New Road and cannot access the cache from this road.

I will be checking logs and any that don't meet the requirement will be deleted. Of course if you have any other questions please ask.

My Personal Progress:

#300 SideTracked - Horsham
#400 Stonehenge
#500 Surrey Icon Challenge
#600 View of Horsham
#700 London - Beatles Abbey Road
#800 Pagans
#900 PIRATEMANIA V
#1000 Church Micro 1,000...Wherigo to Church
#2000 ... I'm considering a potential trip to Brazil to snag the last remaining Project APE cache - if anyone fancies a group effort let me know!
