This cache is being placed to honor Veterans and it is being placed on 11-11-11, Veteran's Day. It is a fitting tribute to Veterans of many generations, but with special tribute to our family members and friends who have served their country with honor.
From World War I to the present day we have family members who have served their country both in times of war and during peace time. Grandpa B. served his country during World War I and was taken as a German Prisoner of War. During World War II, Dad D. served in Europe. During the Vietnam Conflict, Brother Jim saw time in Vietnam, as did three of our brother-in-laws, countless classmates, and our good caching friend, Ranger4+1. It was during Desert Storm our oldest daughter enlisted in the Army and served for four years with pride. Her husband (Cacher Abnduo) has just completed 20 years of service to his country including many tours to the Middle East. All have given of themselves to serve our country - - for our freedom.
It is in their honor and the honor of all Veterans we place this cache. Long may the bell of freedom ring in our Country.
