The Great TB Race is a goal oriented race, with TB's
earning points every time they complete something on a list of
goals. All contestants start from a common point and in 2012, the
race will begin here in Middle Tennessee.

A brief overview: The race is a race for points, not mileage.
Points are earned every time your TB meets a goal, ranging from
crossing state borders to taking pictures to attending events. In
past years there were enough prizes (over $200 worth) that the top
five contestants all won at least $20 in prizes. Entry requires
that you provide a freshly activated TB and a $2 entry fee. The
entry fee helps cover behind the scenes costs such as purchasing
and shipping prizes.
In the past, the event started in Kansas City, Dallas, and
Pheonix. This year I was asked to host the start in the Nashville
area.
Now, normally, the registration deadline is December 25th.
However, those of you in the Nashville area who are planning on
attending the event... an exception will be made. Everyone else has
to ship their items to Smyrna, hence the entry deadline. Obviously,
you could just as easily bring your entry to the event. As such,
you are allowed to enter right on up to December 31st. But, you
need to go through the registration form on the race website (the
one at the 2012 Race Details tab) as this helps update our records.
Then you will need to let me know that you are bringing your entry
with you to the event. I have official race tags to attach. DO NOT
DROP YOUR TB INTO THE EVENT! TripCyclone will be taking care of
that. Just leave it in your possession and on New Year's Eve,
you'll see TripCyclone begin to grab them all in preparation for
the start of the race.
