Geocache Description:

Great 360 degree views from the lookout platform at the summit. This cache replaces my Monk Hill cache that was placed in July 2004 and archived in October 2011. Still one of my favourite short Waikato walks and suitable for all couch potato's!!

Only took about 25 min to the summit/cache with a six year old. The brochure produced by the Bush Trust says 20 min to the summit so take your pick.

This 40 Hectare bush reserve was opened up for public access in 1993 and is administered by the David Johnstone Pukemokemoke Bush Trust. It is native bush with good examples of totara, matai kanuka, kahikatea and kauri.

There are a couple of track loop options to choose from. The track is well formed and drained but can be a little slippery in places when wet.

Please cover when replacing.
