Part one of four
In the dark of night the woods come alive. Listen for screeches and howls - and watch your step!
Parking available at KT24 6QT
Go to the published coordinates and then follow the reflective markers. The first 3 are visible from the start point and will get you well on your way.
••• It is easy to get disorientated in the dark. Take a phone, GPS batteries and a friend with you. The trail markers are bi-directional, but don't rely on them to get back. •••
The first 9/10ths are on well used footpaths with the final tenth being cross country. An LED headlamp is recommended for spotting the markers and a torch for lighting the way. Try a minute's silence in the dark.
