On November 13, 1906, Will Harris killed five people and injured more before being shot dead himself. The location has been the site of paranormal activity for quite a while including footsteps, voices, apparitions, and an elevator that operated by itself. People still report hearing screams and seeing a man dressed all in black who walks into the front door of the tavern and vanishes. Asheville's old gallows used to be nearby. Many people claim the man in black is the ghost of the towns executioner from the late 1800's. You're looking for a small Altoids container. Bring your own pen. After your find, stop in for a visit.
