Geocache Description:

This path is on a sneaky route - what our family calls a "snicket" - from Molesey Road down to the A244 Esher Road. It is a public footpath that bisects the Hersham Golf Course and then splits into a number of different routes.

The fourth of a number of caches on or around footpaths in the Hersham/Walton-Esher area.

When hunting for this cache in summer, it might be wise to wear long trousers as there are a few nettles and prickly shrubs. You could also bring a tub to collect blackberries from the numerous bushes along the path.
The easiest to find access point for the path is from the Molesey Rd. The nearest car park is a pay and display off Walton Park, just by Hersham rail station. The cache is a 15-20 minute walk from there. You can park on some of the nearby side roads but beware of resident-only parking restrictions. The start of the footpath on Molesey Road is easy to miss although it is signposted. It is approx halfway between Arch Rd and the entrance to the Coronation Playing fields (both of which are on the other side of the road).
The path runs past the Hersham Golf course Note that the cache is NOT hidden on the course. Keep your eyes open as many celebrities are members and the President is snooker player John Virgo.
The path is often used by dog walkers and local youngsters although most are very friendly and polite.
