This cache is a part of the E4 CTC series. It is located directly beside the E4.
Loutro is situated at the end of the peninsula Mouri. The village is completely isolated from all roads. It is only reachable from the sea or by hiking on a stony path. The typical white houses with their blue windows and doors are eye-catcher for visitors. A lot of tavernas are inviting for a good meal, relaxation and of cause swimming especially in the early and late season.

The cache shall be an additional motivation to make a hiking tour to Loutro or from Loutro to Finix.
How to find the cache area?
Coming from Hora Sfakia take the road to Aradena. Some hundred meters before reaching the Aradena-Bridge there is a signpost "Finix". Follow this partly dirt road till Waypoint 1. We were driving the road with a 4WD but we have seen normal cars on the road too.
At Waypoint 1 turn left to the Beach Finix (Signpost). We parked at Waypoint 2 at Finix Beach. From here you can start the walk going a little bit back on the road until Waypoint 3 (see picture). Now you are on the E4-Path to Loutro. On the top of the peninsula Mouri near the old Fortress the cache is hidden. From the top you will have a marvelous view down to Loutro.

We think the cache is not difficult to get.
The cache is a small one (plastic container) with a logbook, pen and pen sharpener and some items to trade.
Enjoy the view and have fun while finding the cache.
We hope you will have the time to go down to Loutro. It is a short walk and normally the way is not difficult.
