Small camouflaged tube hidden at the end of a lake in a scenic part of the National Forest
Nearby is a safe haven for the resident geese who live on this beautiful lake.
There are many bird species here including many water birds,a Heron, Buzzards and a Kestrel.
Follow the path from the Goose Lake Cache and return along the opposite side of the lake. Watch out for goose droppings and the aggressive white geese. The white ducks howerer are very friendly.
There is a footpath leaving the road to the NorthWest, some maps show it continuing to the lake but we have not found a route. The landowner does not recognise a right of way so please approach from the Hicks Lodge cycle track direction to the East.
