This cache has been archived.

Berkshire GeoBash: The Berkshire GeoBash Committee wants to thank everyone who helped us to reach MEGA status, making the Berkshire GeoBash New England's FIRST MEGA EVENT!!!! We couldn't have done it without the support of so many people, including Groundspeak, the cache reviewers, the volunteers, the businesses, and especially the cachers that showed up to make this dream a reality!!!! We are beginning plans for next year's MEGA event, Berkshire GeoBash #2 (GC3G4AY), which will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2013 @ Bousquet Mountain. We look forward to seeing you again next July, and feel free to bring your friends! The more the merrier!!!!!

There are still some tb's/gc's logged into the Berkshire GeoBash. Please check to see if you have any that you may have forgotten to log.

Until next year, happy caching!!!!!

Geocache Description:

Saturday, July 7, 2012
9 AM to 5 PM

Just like the "Little Engine that Could", this little event wants to be a MEGA! We THINK we can, we THINK we can, WE KNOW WE CAN!
Let's make this a MEGA!!!!

You are invited to join us in the beautiful Berkshire Hills at Bousquet Ski Area located in Pittsfield, Massachusetts for a one day geocaching event on Saturday, July 7, 2012 from 9 AM until 5 PM.

The Berkshires is a beautiful place to enjoy anytime of the year, but the summer months are full of activities. Whether you're looking for places to hike, visiting museums, shopping, sailing, canoeing, kayaking, swimming, Tanglewood, culture, etc. there is something for everyone. Beautiful views are an added bonus!

Geocaching in the Berkshires offers cachers a wide range of caching experiences from P&G's to challenging hikes, with everything in between! The geocachers of the Berkshires want everyone to experience and enjoy the beauty of the Berkshires while meeting other cachers and building lasting friendships. Within 10 miles of the event are over 641 active geocaches!

We'll be enjoying all kinds of activities and geocaching too. Of course you're welcome to stay the weekend or even all week at one of the nearby campgrounds or lodgings. As at any geocaching event registration is FREE the day of the event - but preregistration is suggested! You'll be able to preorder all kinds of goodies as soon as our store opens on the website. Quantities will be limited the day of the event.
