Geocache Description:

This is a challenge cache. The cache is at the posted coordinates, but you must meet the requirements listed below before logging a find.

Please do not sign the log until you have met the requirements.

Congratulations to vorticity for the FTF.

On a recent trip to the west coast I came across a type of challenge that I had not seen before. The cache in question was called The Well Traveled Cacher, and the goal of the challenge was to find a cache in each 5 mile interval from your home out to a distance of 500 miles.

I've decided to bring this challenge to Colorado, and if you don't qualify for the 500 mile version, there is also a 100 mile and a 250 mile version to help get you started.

This cache page you're looking at is for the 250 mile version, and to qualify for this cache you'll need to find 50 caches, one each in the following distance intervals from your home:

• 0.00 - 4.99 miles
• 5.00 - 9.99 miles
• 10.00 - 14.99 miles
   ... etc., etc., etc. ...
• 240.00 - 244.99 miles
• 245.00 - 249.99 miles

In order to complete this challenge and log the final cache, you must:

• Find a cache in each five mile interval from your home coordinates up to a distance of 250 miles. NOTE: If you wish to protect the privacy of your home coordinates, then you may use the coordinates of your home zip code, or you may even use the coordinates at the top of this cache page. No matter which set of coordinates you use, these will be referred to as your home coordinates for the purposes of this challenge.
•   Once you have found the required caches to qualify for this challenge, you may then find the physical cache and sign the log, as then of course log your find online.
• When you are ready to log this cache, you must complete one of the following verification methods to demonstrate your qualifications:

Verification Method 1: Send me a bookmark list of the caches you've found, including the distance from your home coordinates in the comment field to indicate which distance interval it fills.
Verification Method 2: You can post a comment to the cache page that provides the same information listed in Verification Method 1.
Verification Method 3: There is a GSAK macro that will query your all finds PQ, and produce a table that shows your progress on this challenge. I will accept this as documentation. You can email the output of this macro to me, or post as a comment on the cache page. You can find the GSAK macro here.
Verification Method 4: I'm flexible, and if you can think of another way to document your qualifications, then drop me a note and we can discuss it.

Guidelines

• The posted coordinates are the actual coordinates for the cache.
• Generally accepted rules, guidelines and conditions for logging a cache find apply. These must be bona fide caches listed on Geocaching.com that you have personally (physically) found and logged.
• All cache types count as finds with the exception of events (CITO included) and locationless caches. Note that the GSAK macro is programmed to exclude these types automatically.
• If you are using puzzle caches and multi-caches to fulfill the requirements of this challenge, then the coordinates on the cache page (and not the final coordinates) will be used to determine which distance interval to use.
• There are NO found date restrictions on qualifying caches.
• The boundary of each distance interval in the challenge is determined the by distance from your home coordinates as determined by the GC.com website, or other Geocaching utilities such as GSAK.
• While you may have others with you when you find the final cache, only those who have fulfilled ALL criteria for this cache will be allowed to log it as a find on-line. Find logs by other cachers will be deleted.
• The terrain rating on this cache page refers to the terrain of the final cache.
• Remember that this is a game and is supposed to be fun!

My own list of qualifying caches is as follows (This is a slightly modified version of the GSAK output):
